I'm having almost exactly the same problem as you (less Premiere & Razor).
My problem is that the PVR drive keeps getting corrupetd. I spoke with tech
support (now that's an oxymoron) who told me to check for my IRQ. It too is
set to 9. The support guy said that 9 is unstable, & you should use 5,10,or
(I think) 11.
I asked how to set this up, & he told me to do it in my Bios setup at boot.
Problem is, my computer doesn't allow me to change IRQ's at boot up (I have
a Micron Millenia P120).
So, I got on the phone to Micron.
I have my Perception in a shared PCI/ISA slot, & Micron support said that
that slot is not able to be given an IRQ. This is the only slot that will
accept the full length PCI card & daughterboard - so I appear screwed!
I called back support, & got another tech, who said that the shared slot CAN
get an IRQ. the way to do it is:
1. Remove ALL cards
2. Turn the computer on for 10 secs
3. Turn it off, put the PVR card in (no other cards)
4. Turn the computer back on for 10 secs
5. Turn it off & insert all other cards
Supposedly, this should allow the card to grab an IRQ (they said most likely
11). I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but I will post again with the
results.
Don't know what machine you have, but the solution may be the same.
The only other alternative for me is to order the PCI extender, which moves
the card above the CPU & fan, allowing the full lenght card to go into ANY
PCI slot.
Here's keeping my Fingers crossed!
